Ran the BST in Draper with Jun, Scott and Brent, Juns brother. Kept a fairly casual pace until about a half mile until the turn around point, where Jun turned up the heat a little. I was feeling good and was determined not to let him drop me, so I stuck right with him as we hit the low 6's and into the 5's. I was feeling plenty tired as we started back, but gradually my legs came back and I started feeling better and better and again, was able to stick right with Craig, which felt nice - especially right at the end where we sprinted it out on the short paved section to the finish, touching, if only for a moment, about a 3:30 pace - ha - much more that would have had me face-planting under jello legs. Weather was perfect, I felt good and had a fun time out with the boys. 58:04 - 9:12 AP - 1150 vert |
