Personal:

I'm a happily married guy with a 5 year old son. I started running on February 1st, 2010 with the goal of completing a triathlon (my one and only "official" race prior to that was the "Centerville half mile fun run" when I was about 8) In that following year I lost nearly 50 lbs, completed the triathlon, numerous 5Ks, 10Ks, bike races, and really started to lean towards running over the other two (though I still cross train with both).

I grew up hiking and riding horses in the mountains, so I've been drawn to take my running to the trails - and haven't looked back! I run them every chance I get, which is about 90% of the time!

More BoSho for me today, this time the Draper variety. Jun and I met Scott at the trailhead (park) and when we pulled up Melzter was just getting out of his car to head out. So we chatted with him for a few and then he took off and we waited for Scott to change in his car. So cool to just run into one of the best in the sport and just have a casual chat and then have him in your sites for part of your run (he won a 100 last week, so that helped with the pace :)).

Great run on the BoSho, up Corner Canyon, then down Clarks trail. A little muddy and sketchy in spots, but super fun. Tweaked my knee a little on one of the 'slides', just felt like it hyperextended a little. Nothing major, I'll just ice it up and rest tomorrow, should be good to go. The weather was decent enough, a little windy and cold in spots, but no real rain to speak of, just a little mist that accompanied our trip up Corner Canyon road - though it certainly doesn't feel like the end of May!!. My legs still felt a little heavy on the climbs, probably just be the mileage and vert from the past week.

And I just remembered its a holiday weekend - oh yeah! :)

I never saw you tweak your knee. That sucks. My legs were just a touch heavy too.

For a second there I thought Karl was going to see me giving him the tornado tongue.

Seriously, will the rain and mud just end already?! Hope the knee heals up. Like you said, a little rest and ice will get right back on your game.

Yeah Scott, nothing major just one of those things that you feel it when it tweaks and then it was a little tender after.

No kidding Josh, Craig and I were saying that it wasn't really bad running weather, but it certainly wasn't MAY weather!

Dang trail running, the most dangerous sport out there! I have a permanently deformed and partially numb butt cheek to prove it. Take it easy out there you crazies.

At work today we had a long chat about how this weather is going to force the mountain lions down out of those mountains. I may just have to run on the treadmill for life. That or bring Craig along since he SO badly wants to meet one. All O have to do is run faster than him (which might not be possible).

Have a great holiday weekend.
