Personal:

I'm a happily married guy with a 5 year old son. I started running on February 1st, 2010 with the goal of completing a triathlon (my one and only "official" race prior to that was the "Centerville half mile fun run" when I was about 8) In that following year I lost nearly 50 lbs, completed the triathlon, numerous 5Ks, 10Ks, bike races, and really started to lean towards running over the other two (though I still cross train with both).

I grew up hiking and riding horses in the mountains, so I've been drawn to take my running to the trails - and haven't looked back! I run them every chance I get, which is about 90% of the time!

Beautiful day for a quick 5 miles on the BST...although the trail really wasn't that nice, making for a not-so-quick run. Plus I couldn't find my sunglasses - bad day for that, as the sun and snow mix, while beautiful, left me half snow blind by the end of the run.

The snow on the trail was decently traveled, but was heavy and melting, so every step sunk you in a couple of inches, making it nearly impossible to gain any momentum to keep up a good pace. It was a very nice day though, so I just ignored the pace and enjoyed the scenery.

I blame that snow blindness on my nice little fall. I could not tell the difference between slush and ice!

Awesome run this last weekend! Are you done out there, or are you going to maybe come to the March 5th training run?

I'd like to get at least one more run out there on the loop before the race, though I don't know if I'll be able to go on the 5th (at least not in the morning). Its one of about 4 Saturdays in the year that I have to work.

I really want to get out there and run that loop again too before the race. Let's try and get r done.

For sure, what I may try and do is get my stuff done early in the AM, so we can still get out there.

You and Craig work????

Kelli - yes, it has been known to happen. As far as the 5th goes, depending on mine and Craigs schedules, we may end up going out a little later than the big group, so if anyone wants to come then, we can just have our own group run.

That might be far more appealing....we have to get up at 6 am to get there in time!!!!

We'll be going that day for sure, probably just a little later. Stay tuned.
